Paradaesa

Most historians believe that Persians were the first nation who made garden. Garden in old Persian language was called Paradaesa. The word "Paradise" entered English from the French "Paradis", inherited from the Latin "Paradisus", from Greek "Parádeisos" and ultimately from old Persian "Paradaesa".
